The Peace Sanctuary Garden

851 Aurora Ave, Saint Paul, MN

In existence for over 15 years, it is a small oasis of food and flowers that offers weekly children’s environmental, gardening and healthy eating education programming. It is highly valued by surrounding residents as a central gathering place, and where they receive spring plants and vegetables free of charge. The Peace Sanctuary Garden leadership inspired the UF&GA collaboration and played a part in the creation of most member gardens. Volunteer leaders are Melvin Giles, Diane Dodge and Megan Phinney.
